About CSR Connect
CSR are Australia and New Zealand’s leading building supplies company, and are the name behind some of the market’s most trusted and recognised brands. CSR Connect is the online platform used by customers of the business to order products, check prices and access financial information, which is a key focus area of the businesses ongoing digital transformation efforts.
The CSR Connect team had been using freelancers to service their ad-hoc graphic design, UX and content needs, however increasing business requirements meant that operating in this way was becoming inefficient from a time and cost perspective.
The team was looking for an ongoing partner to not only provide digital services, but work directly with internal stakeholders across the wider business, using their systems and processes in order to become an extension of their team, rather than an external agency.
We were able to integrate with the CSR Connect team by joining their WIPs, using their collaboration tools and engaging with their communications platforms to be able to quickly respond to requirements, and take a proactive approach to upcoming campaigns and projects.
We’ve been part of an ongoing growth hacking project by providing recommendations on the UX of apps and websites, creating wireframes and providing fresh designs to boost usability and user retention. A key deliverable of this was the redesign of the CSR Connect homepage.
We were charged with creating and executing a multi-channel content strategy to increase customer engagement with the platform by running marketing campaigns, highlighting new features and detailing product improvements. The content we developed is showcased across email, social and blogs.
Increasing internal engagement with the platform was a primary focus of the team’s efforts, so the development of the ‘Connect Can’ video-based comms piece was a key deliverable. This involved sourcing talent within CSR, developing scripts, video editing and managing email distribution to create an ongoing line of internal communication to demonstrate in-situ use cases of the platform.
The CSR Connect team were using a variety of enterprise level tools to understand the use of their platforms, but needed to improve their understanding of how effective their marketing efforts had been in driving traffic to their online platforms.
We used Data Studio to set up dashboards and create automated email reports so the team could see at a glance how effective their marketing efforts had been performing.
