The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) is Australia’s peak representative body and advocacy group for those in the digital ecosystem. Since 1978, the AIIA has pursued activities to stimulate and grow the digital economy by:
- Building a sense of community through events and education
- Enabling a network for collaboration and inspiration
- Developing compelling content
As part of a digital transformation project, the AIIA were upgrading their CRM and event registration platform. The website was a key aspect of this process, needing to provide a seamless experience for users moving between these systems. The existing CMS did not have the ability to integrate to the required level, and ongoing development and licencing costs were already proving prohibitive.

Details about member organisations and roles held on AIIA councils are all held within Salesforce. To prevent double-entry of data the site needed to establish a two-way connection with Salesforce.
The existing website had a large amount of historical content to be retained, and to minimise fluctuations of S.E.O rankings any change in URLs had to be carefully managed.
Improved UX to drive users towards key actions including joining the association, registering for events and subscribing to its various publications.
